For Authors

Submit Manuscript

The Editors of the Journal welcome unsolicited manuscripts. Please see below for information on how to submit your manuscript.

JCLC Online seeks both traditional and nontraditional content, and will consider articles, essays, book reviews, comments, and policy briefs. JCLC Online encourages submissions from professors, lawmakers, judges, practitioners, academics, and students.

Text and citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citations (20th ed. 2015) and the Texas Law Review Manual on Usage & Style. We accept submissions between 3,000 and 10,000 words, with a preference for pieces that are between 5,000 and 9,000 words. All word count requirements include footnotes.

Manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word files. Manuscript submissions should be formatted in twelve-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins on all sides. Footnotes should be single-spaced and numbered serially. The Journal uses two spaces between sentences.
